It’s summer and water safety is a must.

In seconds a child can wander over to water without being noticed. And, it can happen even in a crowd, when everyone thinks the other person is keeping an eye out. Sadly, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children under two. But, it can also happen to older children who don’t know how to swim. So if you have a pool, put a fence around it, with a gate that locks. Consider warning alarms on all doors and windows that open onto the pool area. And never leave your child unattended. Have a safe summer.
